Neonatal

Overview

The Division of Neonatal Care at Marwar Zanana Hospital strives to give critically ill and recovering neonates and babies the best possible cutting-edge care. Marwar Zanana Hospital's Neonatal Care Unit (NICU) is a class III facility. With all of the units in Bangalore combined, there are 70 beds overall, which puts us among the state's biggest suppliers of newborn care. High-intensity neonatal care is provided around-the-clock by the highly skilled team of neonatologists and nurses who specialize in the care of the baby. Preterm newborns are cared for in a step-down Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU). Despite their quick growth and good feeding, these babies require monitoring until they are well enough to be discharged.

The Department of Neonatology at Marwar Zanana Hospital comprises nurses with training in neonatal care, pediatricians, neonatologists, and pediatric surgeons. In addition, respiratory therapists oversee the NICU's respiratory equipment; they also administer breathing treatments, collect and evaluate blood gas samples, and take part in transport and coding. Additionally, we provide sophisticated neonatal screening programs, including genetic condition screening, retinal screening, hearing screening with OAE and BERA, hip screening, and heart screening.

As skin-to-skin contact has been demonstrated to improve an infant's neurological and physical health, we urge parents to actively participate in the medical rounds.

Marwar Zanana Hospital Hospitals is able to do acute neonatal transfers while on the go because to its cutting-edge Neonatal Transport facility, which is essentially an ICU or NICU on wheels. A mobile incubator in the ambulance helps newborns stay at their ideal temperature. Additionally, the ventilator supports breathing while in transportation.
